Do you have a DVD player, video, game console etc. and get a black and white (but stable) picture?
Try RGB / SCART cable first, and read the instruction manual of your DVD player on how to activate RGB. RGB provides the best picture quality, and it always becomes a color image when you "manage" to get RGB signal between picture source and TV.
If nothing else, this adapter always provides color image. It does NOT help if the image is not stable, in which case you have to use much more expensive converters from TenLab or switch TV.
