Dexdrive is connected to the serial port on a PC. With the included software, you can copy gamesaves to / from standard playstation (not playstation 2) memory cards. Swap gamesaves with your friends, download gamesaves from the internet, etc.
The reader works completely detached from your playstation, so you don't need to have any playstation connected when using dexdrive. You just need a PC with serial port, Dexdrive and a Playstation memory card.
