This is a PS Jailbreak pre-programmed with "psdowngrade" When your PS3 is downgraded you can reprogram psjailbreak so that it becomes "normal" again. This is the only solution right now for you who have system version 3.50 or 3.42 on your PS3 now but want to downgrade to 3.15 to run "otheros" or 3.41 to be able to "jailbreak". Note that you can buy a "regular" psjailbreak and put in "psdowngrade" yourself at no extra cost, so we take extra 200: - to do it for you before delivery.
The blue laser film support has not worked after downgrading 2 "thick" Ps3 consoles. DVD movie and Blue laser games were not affected. We have not heard other reports on this and it was about consoles where we did not test if bluray movies worked before we downgraded. We have also tested on "slim" ps3 without any problems.

New: Now you can reprogram your psjailbreak USB dongle so that it can be used to put the Playstation 3 into service mode. With the help of files from psjailbreak.com you can then downgrade from eg. 3.50 or 3.42 to e.g. 3:41.
Note that the contents of the hard drive are erased when downgrading, so make backups of all gamesaves etc!
When you are done with the service mode / downgrade you can reprogram it again. You use PsJailbreak Updater for the procedure, downloaded here .
"Updater" reads the serial number of your psjailbreak and then downloads two files.
PROG _ ########. Fla is "psjailbreak".
UPGRADER _ ######. Fla is "psdowngrade".

If you want, we can post PSDOWNGRADE before we deliver your psjailbreak. Ideal if you just want to use your psjailbreak to perform downgrade / utilize service mode. This costs an extra 200 SEK. If you want to get in with your PS3 to get it downgraded (psjailbreak NOT included) it costs 350: - without us backing up your gamesaves or 500: - including backup / restore of gamesaves.
History:
The idea behind PSJailbreak was first and foremost to get a new opportunity to start "homebrew" - ie self-developed unsigned code on the current console. Using this product on the current video game console risked:

- The product's function ceases as soon as the console is updated. Updates can be installed when you go online, when you start a new game from disc or if you intentionally download an update and install from eg. a USB flash drive.
